"Sagara: Rebel in Willow Falls", a great 1940's AU fic by starshifter, was updated at FFnet months ago, but silly me, I forgot to update it here. So sorry for the lapse, starshifter! Thanks to Sachi Ami for the heads-up on my mistake. And of course, thanks to starshifter for allowing me to post a wonderful story. So anyway, acts 7 and 8 are up. Belatedly. I've got a new pic in my gallery. It's Saitou. Joy. Oh, and did I mention? I absolutely HATE Blogger's new control panel format. It was fine the way it was before. Makimachi Motoko, a new artist at this site, has an adorable pencil drawing of Misao-chan posted. Love the expression on this one. Nice shading too. Thanks to Motoko for sending this in. The Silly Koneko has a really cool pic posted, aptly titled "Hitokiri...Everywhere!". The title's pretty self-explanatory. I love the variations of this. Thanks so much for sharing your work, Koneko. Sherlgirl never fails to please with her fabulous art submissions. This latest pic of hers is of Saitou, looking rather predatory. Coolness abounds. As always, thanks for the lovely art, s-girl. Artist kendranoelle has two great new pics, one of Kenshin as an adult, and another of Kenshin as a kid, based off of one of Fitz's fan fics (Young Again). The young Kenshin is adorable. Thanks for the pic, kendranoelle. Finally, Chococat has two great new walls, each with very different emotional tones. One is light and romantic, another darker and more menacing. OMG, my newest non-RK pic is on the Favorite Prints section at Deviant Art right now. (It's the pic from the fantasy gallery with the girl dressed in blue and blue border.) It probably won't stay there for long, but wow, I'm tickled pink! Sorry, but I get excited about stuff like this. I've never had a picture actually make it to the front page at Deviant Art, so I'm really excited! Not so good news, my e-mail inbox has been acting strange lately. I'm getting messages with no contents in them, but they seem like legit messages. So if you sent something in, and I didn't post it today, please re-send it. I'm not sure why it's doing that. Also, I haven't been able to respond to a few messages I got. One was from a person calling herself Hitokiri Battousai. Sorry, but I can't answer your message. I'll try again later. Ahem, anyway onto the fanart. Lovely stuff today! Do take a look, folks. Eri Gaudiamo has sent in a wonderful new pic of Kenshin and Kaoru. Eri's action pics are always gorgeous. Here he shows that he can do romantic pics just as well. Thanks so much for the lovely art, Eri Gaudiamo. The Narrator has a beautiful pic of Kaoru among some deep red roses. I had to restructure the fanart gallery and split it into two main pages due to the growing number of artists. The fanart page was becoming too image heavy. The new format requires an extra click of the mouse to get to a person's gallery, but I hope the inconvenience isn't too annoying for you folks. As with any new restructuring, there may be some coding errors. If you find anything wrong, please let me know. Anyway, onto the good stuff. A lot of new artwork today, including three new artists! Please take a look at all the new entries, everyone. Artist secretarytocapt3, who is new to this site, has a wonderful pic of Saitou posted. Lovely composition, an elegant color scheme, and a unique style. A pleasure to look at. Thanks to secretarytocapt3 for sending this in. CConartist, also new to this site, has a hilarious crossover fanart melding Rurouni Kenshin with the chocobos from FF7. Strange, colorful, and fun. Thanks so much to CConartist for sharing his work. Artist taintedsilence, the third new artist at the site, has three gorgeous pics of Battousai, Enishi, and the Rurouni. Impressive backgrounds and beautifully drawn characters. Many thanks to taintedsilence for allowing me to post her pics. Huge thanks to Eri Gaudiamo for his awesome gift art of Kenshin vs. Saitou. I rarely receive gift art, so this is a real treat. And of course, I adore Eri's style, so any new pic from him is greeted with enthusiasm on my part. Thanks so much. Artist brancaloba has a great new pic of Kenshin drawn in a more realistic style. Intriguing interpretation of the Rurouni. He has such an enigmatic facial expression. Thanks very much to brancaloba for sending this in. The Narrator has a wonderfully bright new pic of Kaoru and Misao having a great time. Kenshin and Aoshi watch them, perplexed. Great colors. Priceless facial expressions on the two men. Many thanks for the marvelous pic, Narrator. The Silly Koneko has a cool new pic of Saitou. I really like the background showing Saitou from past and present. I finally have a chance to update. Joy! Please have a look at all the new artwork, everyone. Artist kendranoelle, who is new at this site, has three lovely pics to contribute. The first is a rather bloody drawing of Battousai. The next two are inspired by various fan fics. One of the pics in particular is hilarious. Thanks for sharing your work, kendranoelle. Artist Leah is also new to this site. She has a wonderful color pic of Battousai posted. I especially love the little dead dude at the bottom of the pic. It's so cute! Clean line art. Fantastic bright colors. Thanks so much for sending this pic in, Leah. Artist Steffel has a new pencil drawing added to her gallery. It's a more realistic depiction of Misao welcoming Aoshi home. A poignant scene. Nice shading. I like how Steffel has infused a great deal of emotion into this pic. Thanks so much for sharing, Steffel. Artist Pechan has more gorgeous drawings added. The first is a rather odd concept inspired from a pic at Miburo.com. How would Kenshin look if he'd fought for the Shinsengumi instead? The second pic is of Yumi. Nicely done as always.
