Chapter 18 of Nekotsuki'sTanabata Jasmine is up. (And there was much rejoicing.) Good story. Read it.
Neko Oni has a gorgeous new pic posted in her gallery. Beautiful colors, intriguing costumes, not to mention Kenshin looks meltingly good. Beautiful work, as always. Thanks so much to Neko Oni for sending in her marvelous art. Please check it out, everyone.
Rose Thorn has a new wallpaper posted. This one features Kaoru in a cool, tough pose. It's nice seeing the fiercer side of her every now and then. I like the blurring of the figure too. Makes it more actiony. Thanks to Rose Thorn for sending this in. Please have a look, folks.

Welcome back to Akai Kitsune after a summer off-line. Chapter 8 of her story, Diary of a Manslayer, has been posted. (This is the sequel to her ambitious and oh-so-satisfying 100-chapter fic Kendo No Go.) If you've never read any of Akai's stories, please do take a look at them. They have a quiet, dignified tone that I have always found very pleasing.
Chapter 17 of Nekotsuki's fic, Tanabata Jasmine has been posted. The plot thickens and twists. The Kenshingumi are reunited with old friends. Other than that, I don't want to give too much away. Needless to say, this story's great. Check it out if you haven't already
Artist Shinomori Misao, who is new to this site, has five cool pics of various RK characters in the gallery. My favorite is one of Aoshi holding his twin kodachi. Very cool. There are also several pics of Misao. Nice job, Shinomori Misao. Thanks so much for sending in your art.
Artist White Haizea has a new pic of Kenshin. Aptly titled "Orange", the pic has some lovely brilliant colors. And White Haizea has done a nice job of capturing the look of the RK anime in her art. Lovely pic. Thanks very much, White Haizea, for sharing your work.
The Narrator has two beautiful new wallpapers added. The first is a K&K pic with a gorgeous night sky background. The second features Kenshin with a cool light-streaked background and lovely shades of blue. Thanks so much to The Narrator for sending these in.
For those of you who have asked: No, I'm afraid I haven't had much time to work on chapter 10 of Sea. I'm hoping to have some time this weekend to write, but considering the film project I'm working on shoots on weekends, I don't know how much time I'll actually have. I'm hoping for a few hours each night, but uh, I'm not counting on it. Sorry the story is moving so slowly, but I really have been very busy. And please keep in mind that I'm primarily an artist, not a writer. I've got a few art projects (favors to other people) that I also need to work on. Thanks for your patience, folks. Yeah, I know... I'm slow. :-P

Author-chan, who has previously had artwork posted at this site, now also has her stories added to the archive. Three cool fics, Taste, Fishbone, and Yin and Yang, in three different genres. I really like Author-chan's unique take on several RK themes. Her stories are original and a pleasure to read. Quite different from most fics I've run across. Thanks to Author-chan for allowing me to post these stories.
It's been a while since I updated. The last week has been absolutely insane. I've been busy working on my class project on weekends, so I haven't had much free time. I have received artwork from a few people. Sorry, I haven't posted them today, but I will get to them by this weekend. Thanks for your patience.
Thanks to everyone who e-mailed me to let me know that Rurouni Kenshin will be shown on Cartoon Network again (on October 23, 2004). Several people were kind enough to give me a heads-up. Hey, I guess we won't be needing to sign Yume Naito's on-line petition anymore. Cool.

Wanderer, a new writer to this site, has a lovely poem added to the archive. "Price of Revolution" is a sonnet about the legendary Battousai. Well written with some really wonderful imagery. I was impressed by how much Wanderer was able to convey in a mere 14 lines, and in iambic pentameter, no less. Nicely done. Thanks so much to Wanderer for allowing me to post this poem.

Two new contributors to the site. Please give them a nice welcome by checking out their work.
Author hitokiri oro-chan has a rather bizarre one-shot added. The Day Kenshin Ran Out of Soap had me giggling like a madwoman. Very cute. Very odd. Very funny. I especially liked the squirrels. Thanks so much to hitokiri oro-chan for allowing me to post her story.
Artist monochromaticlife has an awesome drawing of Battousai posted. I really love the way he looks in this picture. Beautiful and dangerous. Nice figure and composition. Wonderful colors. Thanks very much to monochromaticlife for allowing me to post his gorgeous pic.

Chapter 16 of Nekotsuki's wonderful fic, Tanabata Jasmine, was posted a few days ago at FFnet. It's been updated here at this archive as well. What can I say? It's a great fic. I've been telling folks to read it for weeks now. Heh. So please check it out if you haven't done so already.

Author hana rui, who is new to this site, has a lovely fic called Perfection posted. It's a bit different from what I usually archive: shounen ai, slight OOC, and a deathfic to boot. Told from Sano's point of view. I really enjoyed the emotion in the story. The dialogue was interesting as well. Also, the author leaves quite a bit up to the reader to fill in. Thanks so much to hana rui for allowing me to post this. Please check it out, folks.
Cretin, a new artist at this site, has a cool Battousai pic posted. I like the colors in this. I don't often see Battousai pics done in such a warm palette. I also like his eyes. Nicely done. Thanks to Cretin for sending this in. Do have a look, everyone.
Artist Soujiro has a new pic of Kenshin to share. Drawn in the OAV style. I like the bold coloring. I'm also impressed with his hand. It's in a rather difficult pose to do. Thanks so much for sending in your work, Soujiro. Please take a look, folks.

Artist angelhitomi also has a lovely new artwork posted. It's an interesting pic of Tomoe and Kenshin. I really like how angelhitomi colored their eyes. And the hair is beautifully done too. A splendid pic. Please take a look, everyone.

ShoshanaFlower, a new author at this site, has a wonderful story, A Road to Aizu posted. It features a tale centered around two RK characters that I've never seen together before. I find their interactions intriguing. A very interesting fic. And quite well written. Thanks so much to ShoshanaFlower for allowing me to archive her story. Please have a look, everyone.
A reminder: You still have a little bit of time to second nominated fics at the 2003 RKRC Awards. Mir is allowing folks to second fics until September 5, 2004. So please check out the list of nominees. And please be sure to read the rules carefully before you second anything. Thanks!

Blueraingurl, a new author at this site, has two one-shots that are lovely to read. The first, Do You Remember? reads almost like a poem, and features Tomoe's spirit speaking to Kenshin. The second, Through a Child's Eyes is an alternate event fic in which Kenshin and Tomoe are married with a child. Both very interesting, and both quite insightful into Kenshin and Tomoe's relationship. Thanks to Blueraingurl for allowing me to post these. Please check them out.
Artist Soujiro has two cool new pics of Tomoe (done chibi style) and Soujiro. Very cute and brightly colored. I like the expressions on their faces. Nice job. Thanks to Soujiro for sending these in. Do have a look at them, everyone.

Artist Pechan also has a new pic. This one's of Aoshi done in a very pretty style. Oh, and the quote bubble made me smile. Thanks very much for sharing the pic, Pechan. Do take a look at it, folks.
