Hey folks. Hope your holidays went well. And here's hoping you all have a lovely New Year.
Nekotsuki updated her wonderful fic, Tanabata Jasmine a couple weeks ago. Chapter 24 is up at fanfiction.net, but I have yet to post it here. My apologies to Nekotsuki. I'll post the latest chapter after I get back home to my own computer.
Also, I have received several Oro! sighting links. I will also be working on those after I get home to my apartment. Sorry for the delay, but thanks to the people who sent me links.
That said.... Plenty of lovely art to see. Added about 15 new pics to the gallery:
Bleu, an awesome artist I met recently from a Secret Santa Art Exchange at another site, was kind enough to draw a marvelous chibi Kenshin gift art for me. Elegant line art and coloring, and an adorable expression on Kenshin's face. I was so lucky to have Bleu as my Secret Santa. Thanks so much, Bleu, for the excellent pic.
Kheriah has a very cool new doujinshi to add to the gallery. I always enjoy getting doujinshi art. This one's called "Why Jinchuu Never Worked". Curious? Heh. It's lovely art with lovely storytelling. Please take a look. It's good stuff. Thanks muchly to Kheriah for sending this in.
Rose Thorn has a marvelous pic of the Kenshingumi at Christmastime. It's a cute scene, and the expressions on the characters' faces are priceless. It's always fun seeing Fox Lady and Tanuki Girl fighting over Kenshin. Heehee. Thank you for the cool pic, Rose Thorn. Check it out, folks.
Shinomori Misao has nine new images addded to her gallery. There are so many cool pics it would take an entire page for me to properly talk about them all. Let's just say they range through many characters, emotions, and styles. Excellent work on all of them, but my favorite has got to be the portrait of Aoshi. So mysterious, that one. Thanks for sending these in, Shinomori Misao. Have a look, please, everyone.
Eiko Makimachi has three lovely pics added. Soujiro, Misao, and a Winter Festival pic. As always, I love her bright and lively style. And I'm always impressed by people who can do such wonderful work on oakaki boards. Nicely done. Please do take a look at them. And sincere thanks to Eiko for sending these in.
That's it for the art.
I would just like to add a reminder for those who are planning to send in art submissions. Please check your file sizes and image sizes. BOTH must fit within the numbers I specified on the submission page. Just because an image is under 1000 pixels, does not necessarily mean that the file size will be under 200 kb. So it's best to check both things before sending them in. I've received many pics in the last few months that were too large. I've been a meanie and asked people to re-send.
Are the rules in the Submission page too confusing? I'm wondering if there's any way I could word them better so that people don't have such trouble with them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Just leave a comment. Thanks!

Artist Lady Himura Shishi has a gorgeous new pic of the Two Sides of Himura Kenshin. Lovely colors. Interesting composition. Just a wonderful pic in general. Please have a look, folks. And thanks to Lady Himura Shishi for sending this in.
Artist kenji nakamura has an adorable pic of Kenshin... in a bunny suit. Heh. Apparently, he got the idea while talking to a friend who stated that she'd buy the RK manga even if Kenshin stood around in a bunny suit to sell it. Thanks to kenji (and his friend) for the unique pic. Take a look please, everyone.
Wallpaper artist kosode has a beautiful new wallpaper posted. Dark and lovely. I like the choice of pictures used. And the composition is very well done. Thanks so much to kosode for sending this in. Please do check it out, everyone.

The Mother of All Updates....
Heh. It's been a while. A very long while since I updated. Thanks to everyone for their patience. My semester was very busy, but most of my work is finally done, and at last, I have time to properly update. I'm so glad to be back! And without further ado... there are a lot of cool new things to see and read....

FAN FICTION:
Chapters 22 and 23 of Nekotsuki'sTanabata Jasmine have been posted. For those of you unfamiliar with this story, Kenshin manages to land himself in a world of trouble while buying flowers one day. And it's up to his friends to save him. Sound interesting? Well, it is! So read it.
Chapters 6 and 7 of Shoshana Flower'sA Road to Aizu have been posted. A beautiful story featuring two characters that hardly ever get written about. Well written and wonderfully thought out. This gem of a fic is definitely one to check out.
FAN ART: Plenty of new art. Please check these out, everyone.
Sayo, a new artist at the site, has an adorable and elegant picture of Kenshin posted. I really like the artist's unique style. The pose and composition are nicely done. And the colors in this pic are simply beautiful. Thanks so much to Sayo for sending this in.
ISJ, who is an author featured at this site, proves she is also a great artist with this lovely pencil sketch of Kenshin. Clean lines and nice shading. Thank you for sharing the pic, ISJ.
Kenshinny, another new artist to this site, has a wonderful watercolor of Battousai posted. I really like the color choices in this picture. The blue-green gi is an unusual choice, one which works much better with Kenshin's red hair than the canon colors, in my opinion. Thanks to kenshinny for allowing me to post her work.
Tokio Saitou has a wicked looking new pic of Shishio posted. Excellent expression on this. And it's such a rare treat to see fanart done of this character. Thanks so much to Tokio Saitou for sending in this awesome pic.
Shinomori Misao has sent in a wonderfully sweet picture of Misao and Aoshi sharing a tender moment. I like the soft coloring style. The Kyoto background is also beautifully done. Thanks muchly for sharing your lovely art, Shinomori Misao.
Wingstar has a great new pic of Kenshin and family with beautifully bright colors and a wonderful mood. I like the designs on Kaoru's kimono. And it's great to see everyone looking so content and happy. Thanks so much to Wingstar for sending this in.
White Haizea has 3 marvelous new pics added. Two are of Tomoe, and the last is a fanart of Linay's fic, Broken Pieces. I like the artist's gentle drawing style. The Broken Pieces pic is wonderfully detailed. The picture of a smiling Tomoe is so delicately pretty. Thanks for sharing these, White Haizea.
Lynnet, whom many of you may remember as the winner of the fanart contest I held last summer, has sent in a great new picture of Kaoru done in a similar Japanese print style. The coloring on this is fantastic. Thanks very much to lynnet for sharing her art.
Aikawarazu Ai has sent in a new pencil drawing of Kenshin. Poor Kenshin looks like he needs a hug in this pic. A wonderfully heartfelt drawing. Thanks so much for sharing your work, Aikawarazu Ai.
Leah has 4 cool new pics of Kenshin posted in her gallery. My favorite is the inked picture of Battousai. I like the strong, dramatic lines in that one. Wonderful artwork, Leah. Thanks very much for sharing them.
WALLPAPERS:
Chococat has a new wallpaper that's just plain hilarious. Inspired by a weird combination of the Oro section of this site and Gatorade ad, of all things. It's a funny spoof. Thanks to Chocoat for sending it in.
Kosode, a new wallpaper artist at this site, has a lovely, dark wall of Kenshin and Tomoe. It might be too dark to see on some people's screens, but on the left side of the wall, there's a lovely pattern along with some beautiful text. Thanks so much to Kosode for sending this in.
MISCELLANEOUS UPDATES:
Thanks again to Stasy for translating more of my stories into Russian. I can't even imagine how much work that must've taken. My sincere gratitude for you efforts, Stasy. The links to the Russian translations are listed on my fanfic page.
Thanks to Rose Thorn and Nikki for sending in more Oro links and pics for the Oro page. The search for the truth behind the Oro's takes an astonishing turn with the newest info gathered by these two observant fans. Check it out.

And that's it for today's updates! Quite a bit of them. If anyone has sent me pictures in the last month that have NOT yet been posted, please e-mail me again. My e-mail service occasionally dumps legit messages into my spam bin, and they sometimes get lost if I forget to check for them. So please don't hesitate to contact me if you think your artwork may have been lost in transit somewhere.
And for those who are wondering... Yes, I'll be posting the next chapter of Sea soon.
