01 - Siobhan - The first entry is in! Thanks to Sio for a marvelous pic of the two sides of Hajime Saitou. Very cool!
FANART:
S-girl has two gorgeous pics added to her gallery. Wonderful art as usual. The first one is of Hiko Seijuro enjoying sake. The second is an RK-Peacemaker crossover featuring various Choshu revolutionaries. Thanks so much for submitting these, s-girl. (And sorry for the delay in posting them!)
WALLPAPERS:
Two marvelous wallpapers sent in by Paranoid-Duckkie and Author-chan. Paranoid-Duckkie's is an original-art wall featuring a beautiful, realistic Kenshin. Author-chan's features a poignant moment with Kaoru voicing her all-too-real fears. Thanks so much for the lovely walls, Paranoid-Duckkie and Author-chan!

Okay, the contest is officially up and running. I'm looking forward to seeing some cool entries! ^_^
No updates today, unfortunately. But I'll have some cool new things posted soon. S-girl and Author-chan have submitted some works. I'll have those updated hopefully within the next day or two.

Welcome to artist dragonflywings, the newest contributor at the site. Dragonflywings has sent in 2 beautiful fanarts and 3 gorgeous wallpapers of Kenshin and Aoshi. The artwork is wonderful. My favorite is the Aoshi wallpaper. I really like the background design and the subtle colors on that one.
Also, as you have probably noticed, there will be another contest this summer. I'll have to tone down on the prizes, unfortunately, but people don't seem to mind so much. I do hope we have a good turnout this summer. Anyway, the contest will open on May 25, 2006. ^_^x

Question: Should I run another RK fanart contest this summer? I've been wondering if there's still interest in such a thing?
The problem is, there is no way I can offer the kinds of prizes I've done in previous years if I do run a contest. I'm graduating from grad school, and I'm going to be looking for a job. I can no longer afford much in the way of prizes, and I'd have to try to find alternatives.
So please leave a comment if you're interested in a contest or not. Opinions either way are fine. Thanks!
